Yeah, too bad that, and Glengarry Glen Ross are Alec Baldwins only 2 good film roles. That wack job liberal nut bag.

Hunt for Red October …..the best submarine movie ever.

I saw THE HUNT FOR RED OCTOBER twice this weekend. It is one of the great movies ever. McTiernan (also responsible for DIE HARD) got great performances from every single actor. Like THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN and THE GREAT ESCAPE there were no small roles. Every actor shone including Skellan Skaarsgaard as Tupelov, Ramius's nemesis, who tries to blow up the Red October. He's a great actor. I'd never seen him before but it launched his career, just as James Coburn was launched by his role in THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN.

Fred Thompson is so lucky to have been in such a great film as THFRO and he did really well in it.

Way to go, AMC!

THE HUNT FOR RED OCTOBER directed brilliantly by John McTiernan has our own Fred Thompson in an outstanding role. It was on 3 times this past weekend and will be on again on AMC on Wed. 1/23 at 5pm PST; on Thurs. 1/24 at 2pm and 1/28 again at 2pm.

I had posted this under movies to watch during the campaign.
